Talented RMIT alumni

Congratulations to Sophie Laguna for winning the Miles Franklin award for The Eye of the Sheep. Another RMIT Professional Writing and Editing alumni kicking goals, they are out there everywhere. Maxine Beneba Clarke won the Australian Book Industry Award (ABIA) Literary Fiction Book of the Year for Foreign Soil,  Clare Strahan was shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Award for her brilliant YA novel, Cracked, Graeme Simsion is a runaway best-selling author with his Rosie books (the first of which won last year’s ABIA book of the year) and former writing for children teacher Judith Rossel won the ABIA Book of the Year for Older Children for her rollicking Victorian romp Withering by Sea.
