I came to editing the long way round via theatre, street music and clown, and community arts and events.
The through line of my career is creative collaboration, which is my favourite way of working.
I have been freelancing since 2010, editing everything from short stories to epic page-turners, policy documents to information guides.
I also have three years’ experience in-house editing for local government, where I refined the delicate arts of jargon-busting, translating bureauspeak and untangling multi-authored documents that have got themselves into a knot.
I teach short courses in copy editing and proofreading for RMIT.
- Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd) Accreditation 2014

I am in Melbourne, the traditional land of the Kulin Nation.
